High Crimes And Misdemeanors

Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???

Former CIA Director John O. Brennan

Its about to go down in Washington DC this week after President Trump and President Putin ended their summit in Helsinki. President Trump was widely criticized for statements he made during a press conference, after the two leaders held private talks with only interpreters being present. Before a world audience the President denied that there was Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election despite the US intelligence community proof. Now I want to stop right here for a second. Officials keep telling us the meeting was private, But it is hard to believe that US and Russian intelligence operatives did not have that room bugged or recording devices on those interpreters. Call me paranoid, but that’s how I feel. This report is kinda late because I wanted to hear the other side’s opinion of the summit. There was condemnation from both sides on the Presidents performance. They even used the “A” word, that’s like the “N” to us.. appeasement. In 1938 a group of European leaders, lead by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain signed the Munich Pact. The agreement permitted Nazi Germany’s annexation of portions of Czechoslovakia along the country’s borders, mainly inhabited by German speakers. The Sudetenland as it was called by Germany, was of immense strategic importance to Czechoslovakia, as most of its border defenses and banks were situated there, as well as heavy industrial districts. Czechoslovakia was not invited to the conference, but felt it had been betrayed by the European delegation. In the meantime, the policy of appeasement was lauded by Prime Minister Chamberlain, and upon his return declared that the meeting had achieved “peace in our time.” Germany set up puppet, pro-Nazi regimes that served the military and political ends of Adolf Hitler. By the time of the invasion of Poland later that year, the nation called “Czechoslovakia” no longer existed.

Anywho, as I listened to the conservative pundits try their best to prop up the Presidential debacle, all they could do was assign blame to previous administrations and people. One of the common threads I heard was, Its happened before, all countries try to influence other countries elections, including ours.” That may be true, but I have never seen the leaders of these countries stand on the podium with the violator and say they doubt if they did it and then accuse members of a former US administration of being at fault for the violator trying to influence elections in their countries. Another common thread was our President has been the strictest of all when it comes to the Russians. Well it true that the President has enacted severe penalties and sanctions against the Russians, but no one ever talks about Congress had to make him do it. He did not do it of his own accord. Its also true that our President expelled more that 60 Russian diplomats after Russia allegedly poisoned a former KGB agent and his daughter earlier this year in the UK. Here too this administration is playing fast and loose with the actual facts. There are numerous reports that say the President was furious over the number of diplomats being expelled. He wanted far fewer. They say we need world security and we need to have a dialog with the only other nuclear power on the planet capable of ending life as we know it. “Ain’t gonna happen.” You need people for money to be valuable. The 1% need us to say they are rich. It’s no sense being rich if it’s only you and a couple more people on the planet. We will be here as long as there is such a thing as money.

Today’s press conference in #Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory.

U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

In the hollowed halls of our military, intelligence and police building’s, there are sacred walls. Upon these walls are plaques inscribed with names. Unknown to the average American, but to the colleagues of the fallen, they represent the cost of our democracy. Words like honor and sacrifice are used on these memorials to convey a meaning that can never touch the fabric that these hero’s have woven, that clothe us in the freedoms we enjoy and cover us from despotic rain of dictatorship. Today we saw that fabric ripped. Many conservatives have decided to move forward in these tattered rags. But in another few years, hopefully the American people will vote in another leader, one that will restore the fabric of our freedoms and democracy, and shield us from the rain.
