Back in 2017 I wrote a story about Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson also known as “Diamond and Silk.” For those who are not familiar with the duo, they are African American vloggers who are also pro Trump supporters. Hardaway and Richardson are sisters who came on the scene in 2012. Now although they are bonafide card carrying black Klan memb…. I mean Republicans now, back in the day they were registered Democrats. As a matter of fact their first video in 2015 on Youtube was entitled “Black Lives Matter.” It received some attention gaining about 26,000 views at last count. Their next video also in 2015 about Sandra Bland, did a little better receiving around 39,000 views. You can see that video here. The video is 43 minutes long but is a must see to witness their political evolution and the hundred and eighty degree turn they made. I mean after watching this video I thought they were going to ask people to sign up to be members of the NFAC (Not F*cking Around Coalition) or the New Black Panther party. Dey was hot wid it!! So not to get off the subject but … okay I’m getting off the subject… but this is some interesting stuff. Although BLM says there are links between the New Black Panthers and the NFAC, both organizations deny there is any connection between them. As a matter of fact the New Black Panther party and the Black Panther party have no connections between them. The Black Panther party considers the New Black Panther party to be illegitimate. Now here is some really juicy off the subject stuff…
The leader of a Black militia group says when Attorney General Daniel Cameron told him it would be four months before his investigation into the Breonna Taylor case would be completed, he had one response. “I told him, ‘You ain’t got four months.'”
The NFAC has been known to show up in a supportive roles to black families and communities. The first time we heard about them was when they marched down the street where Ahmaud Arbery was killed. Local news thought they were the Black Panthers. Our next encounter with the NFAC was after the police shooting of Rayshard Brooks. Brooks’s sister had asked for security from them during a protest. Of course we all remember the 4th of July, Independence Day, when they marched into the very racist heart of the Klu Klux Klan.. stomping their way with shiny black boots, wearing black uniforms and carrying military style semi automatic machine guns… did they march to the very altar of Kluxdom.. Stone Mountain!! There they said .. and this is a quote, “I want the heart of the Ku Klux Klan to hear me no matter where the fuck you are. I’m in your house. Where you at? You made a threat. We don’t threaten,” unquote. Back in the day there would have been so many crosses burning in Georgia, you would have been able to see them from outer space. Yep… back in the day… Anywho, after they said that, everyone was waiting to see what the Klan was going to do. They didn’t do anything… right then… On July 20th about 200 NFAC members gathered in Louisville Kentucky to protest the killing of Breonna Taylor. A counter protest was held by another group called the Three Percenters, a far right military militia. They also reportedly provided security at the Charlottesville Alt- Right Rally. About fifty of them showed up in Louisville and police had to separate the groups. Anywho.. there was gunfire from the NFAC. Police said it was accidental. Now I don’t know how true it is, but there was also a report that someone heard the command from the Three Percenters to fall back… and that someone from the NFAC said “we ain’t f**king around!!” Like I said, I don’t know if it’s true or not… I do know that afterwards Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Louisville Metro Council President David James had a phone conversation with Grand Master Jay, leader of the NFAC. So who’s to know what happened or what was said or done.. Anywho, let’s get back to our topic… So in my research I did not find out exactly when the pair changed their political affiliation. I assume sometime after they made the Sandra Bland video, they started to make pro Trump videos. Slowly they started seeing a large increase in revenue… Oops… I mean viewership after making pro- Trump videos. By 2015 the two women were totally immersed in the Trump column, joining him on stage as the Stump For Trump Girls in Raleigh, North Carolina. Next stop was in 2016 where in Biloxi, Mississippi they attempted to bring new black voters to the Republican rolls through a campaign called Ditch And Switch. Now I am going to tell you.. the trees are tall and the ropes are long in Mississippi, I’m not sure how many converts they was hoping to get there. Lets take a look at their Ditch and Switch video.
So it’s funny how they mentioned something about a plantation. It would literally be the last word I would use if I was them. Artist and activist Bree Newsome described Hardaway and Richardson as “a modern-day minstrel show” and stated in an interview that the pair’s presentation relies on “stereotypical images of black women”. Political commentator Keith Boykin said that conservatives give attention to Hardaway and Richardson because they “only want to listen to the people who reaffirm their narrow, limited vision of what blackness is all about and how black people should perceive white people and specifically how they should perceive Donald Trump.” After the President won the election, it was up the conservative ladder for them… the black conservative ladder, not the white one. The white one is a lot taller and has a rebel flag at the top. They appeared on numerous conservative talk shows like Hannity, Fox News Sunday, Watter’s World, The Ingraham Angle, and Fox & Friends. By 2018 they had their own show on Fox Nation, a conservative streaming service. They even produced a film called Dummycats and premiered it at the Trump Hotel in Washington DC. You remember the messy affair concerning the firing of Omarosa Manigault in 2017.. someone said they had to drag her out the White House after she got canned, well Hardaway and Richardson stood up for her and went straight hood when Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts told Manigault ” Bye Felicia..” I guess they figured when they got the axe it was going to be their turn. “How is it that you want the community to come up and then when a sister is sitting at the table, ‘Well, she didn’t represent us’? Are you crazy?” After Manigault’s firing, she wrote a tell-all book that point blank and frank said that Donald Trump used the “N” word and was nuttin but a racist. They never defended anyone else again.
By 2019 the pairs star began to wane. It started with them joining forces with House Representative Steve King. For those who are not familiar with King, lets just say The Washington Post described King as “the Congressman most openly affiliated with white nationalism, ” and they didn’t get sued either. KIng won his re-election in 2019 but was stripped of his committee assignments after an interview in which he wanted to know “what’s wrong with being a white nationalist?” He was widely condemned by both the left and right. During the 2020 primaries due to lack of support and donations he lost. He will not be running in the general elections in November. Anyway in June of 2019 he introduced the Diamond and Silk anti–sanctuary city bill. When the women were sked what they thought about King’s tweeting of white nationalist propaganda, Diamond said,” Ya’ll always bringing up the race card..” The bill did not pass the House vote and failed. There was considerable backlash from both the left and right media organizations. The Washington Examiner described the Diamond and Silk Act of 2019 as being “named for a clownish YouTube duo who have leveraged their online popularity into regular appearances on Fox News”. Whew.. let me go get my oven mittens… that shatt is hot, hot, hot!!
The pair also had a beef with Facebook in which they said their page “D&S” had been censored. The allegations went all the way up to Congress when in April of 2018 Mark Zuckerberg was hauled before a congressional hearing on the pretense of being questioned about the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The Cambridge Analytica scandal occurred in early 2018 when millions of Facebook users’ personal data was harvested without consent by Cambridge Analytica to be primarily used for political advertising. However anyone following the the hearing soon realized that around half of the questions were concerning the censorship of the Diamond and Silk Facebook page. Zuckerberg admitted that his team had sent a email telling the pair that their page violated Facebook user policies. Their exact statement was, “The Diamond and Silk Facebook page’s content and brand are deemed to be “unsafe to the community.” Diamond and Silk said as a result of Facebook’s findings, their page had been censored and that followers no longer receive notifications about posts and videos. Rep. Blackburn concluded her questioning with “Let me tell you something right now, Diamond and Silk is not terrorism,” and Rep. Barton wanted to know “Why is Facebook censoring conservative bloggers such as Diamond and Silk?” A slow green sweat started trickling down Zuckerberg’s brow.. because what other color would the sweat be on the seventh richest man in the world… Anywho he admitted that his team had made a mistake, but that the page had not been censored. During testimony it was proven that D&S suffered no loss of influence because of the mistake. It had maintained it 1.3 million followers. I just checked and they have around 2.3 million followers as of today. So you remember in 12 Years A Slave, the part where Solomon beat Tibbets with that belt? Well Tibbets snuck back on the plantation and strung Solomon up. If it wasn’t for the overseer they would have hung him. But even though the overseer saved Solomon, he still left him dangling for that rope on his tippy toes all day until the master freed him that evening. “You not going to beat any white man and I know about it without consequences.” Well something similar happened to Diamond and Silk. In May 2019, during a Fox & Friends appearance, Diamond and Silk claimed that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was a “non-functioning alcoholic” who “slurs her words.” “Now wait a minute Mammy!! You can talk about Omarosa all you want, but don’t you go mouthing off on a god fearing white women!!” In March of 2020 The Daily Beast reported that Fox had severed ties with the pair. According to sources at Fox News, the network cut ties with the sisters due to their propagation of misinformation relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. Like Hannity hasn’t been saying the same thing. Anywho, as their sun goes down along with the president’s sun.. they will probably be on fire too… just keep saying to yourself, “He’s my President!!”
