Back in 2017 I wrote an article entitled “What Do I Tell My Son?” The article was about a man whose son wrote an email to his father indicating that it was becoming a crime to be white. So before we begin let’s take a look at his email.

You have the NAACP.
You have BET….
If we had WET (White Entertainment Television), we’d be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day, you would call us racists.
If we had White History Month, we’d be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites to ‘advance’ OUR lives, we’d be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that??
A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships… You know we’d be racists.
There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US .
Yet if there were ‘White colleges’, that would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you’re not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.
You rob us, car jack us, and shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.
I am proud…… But you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists??
There is nothing improper about this e-mail.
Let’s see which of you are proud enough to send it on.
I sadly don’t think many will.
That’s why we have LOST most of OUR RIGHTS in this country.
We won’t stand up for ourselves!

Perspective
You know the older you get the more perspective you have and the saying hindsight is the best sight takes on a more deliberate meaning. Back in 2017 I told him he should tell his son:
“That’s not true my friend. ( It is becoming a crime to be white.) You know I am black and while I have white friends, the overwhelming majority are black. We don’t think just because you are white you are a racist, and personally I don’t think most black people think that. There are forces who in their best interest is to keep people divided. This is one of their myths. I would have told him to judge each person on their own merits, and not condemn a class of people based on a few idiots.”
My response was before the era of Trumpism, before George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and Atatiana Jefferson, before Charlottesville, The Tree Of Life Synagogue and El Paso.. before the assault on the citadel of democracy in the city where Martin Luther King once told tens of thousands “I Have A Dream…” before he was shot in the head by an assassin’s bullet and died on the balcony of a cheap $14 a night hotel… in the city where the first black President said, Yes we can!!” only to find out no we can’t…

So you say it is not about race huh? Well can you tell me why only the brown and black races are identified by their ancestral genealogy? I guess there is no such thing as German, French, Polish, Russian, English, ect.. if you are white, then you are automatically assumed to be an American. If you are black or brown.. well the illustration speaks for itself. Some of us got more than one ancestral designation, for instance I can be Black or African American or just a plain Negro. I aint’ even gonna talk about when it was just “Colored” or else.. Me: “I am an African American!” Racist: (Smack! Smack!!) You a “Colored” African American!” lol.. As far as the name calling you talk about.. guess who start using those names first?
White boy: All of my research does not point to this reference as being obscene, indecent or racist. Cracker: This slang goes all the way back to Shakespeare. It was first noted in one of his plays circa 1590, in which a character of low bearing was described. Later after Europeans came to the Americas, they brought with them the term “whip cracker”, which was first used to describe a person who herded animals and used a whip, and subsequently used to describe slave overseers. Later you shortened the term whip cracker to just cracker. Over the course of time it came to represent a person of lower caste or those who had some other types of undesirable qualities. So you see we didn’t call you a cracker because of your color… that’s what you called yourselves. Good for the goose.. right my nigga?
Honkey: According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term honky is a variation of the word “hunky.” Its an older word used by whites to refer to someone of Eastern European origin. Think of Hungarian or Slavic. In 1914 the word showed up in a printed article called A Vocabulary of Criminal Slang (1914), by Louis E. Jackson and C. R. Hellyer. “Hunkie, current in localities where North European laborers abound. A corruption of Hungarian, but employed to signify a Continental European who is unwashed and unnaturalized.” The American version of the word were co opted to included other ethnic groups like “bohunk” for Bohemian’s and “hunyak” for Hungarians and Polacks. “HUNYAK!!? Where in the confederate woods of north Alabama did they get that at?
Whitey: Although the term does not have a definitive origin, I suspect it came about as a response to another derogatory name given to African Americans.. “darky” or “darkies,” when referring to more than one. “Hey!! You darkies over there… “watermelon’s on sale in aisle two!” ” Thanks… you so nice…”

Don’t you know that there was a time when blacks couldn’t even go to college? We ended up opening our own colleges and universities. Some of you did everything you could to deny blacks a education. It wasn’t until 1954 that separate but equal doctrine was overturned by the Supreme Court and you know why? Because it was anything but equal. Across the South many black schools were housed in churches, shacks, and lodges, and had no toilets, water supply, desks, blackboards, books, or any of the other supplies white children took for granted. Black colleges also suffered with a lack of resources and funding that white colleges and universities enjoyed. Well dagnabbit, black folks started getting tired of all this foolishness.. (I’m saying foolishness out of respect.. but I mean you wouldn’t want to step in it…) well anyway they started raising money for our own children’s education. The United Negro College Fund was incorporated on April 25, 1944, ten years before Brown V. Board Of Education which brought the end of the separate but equal doctrine. By the way and I am just speaking of the HBCUs in West Virginia.. Bluefield State College and West Virginia State University.. are now only “8%” black. At least in my state its the United Negro College Fund that’s giving people an education at these institutions.
You Have Black History Month..
You are jealous because we have one lousy month to celebrate the accomplishments of African Americans? Why.. somebody ought to come over there and smack the land of cotton out yo ass. “They’re trying to take away our culture. They’re trying to take away our history. These things have been there for 150 years, for a hundred years.” -Donald Trump. Actually Donald, your history has been on display ever since Europeans have been here.. There are cities and towns, streets and avenues, schools and buildings, ships and planes, parks and lakes, tunnels and bridges, monuments and plaques… and even more… all named for people from your history. Some of them need to come down or be changed, but that’s another story. It wasn’t always Black History Month.. it used to be Black History Week.. the second week in February. In 1970 some students and educators at Kent State started celebrating Black History Month after proposing it in 1969. Today it is celebrated in the United States and three other countries, the United Kingdom, Canada and the Republic Of Ireland.

I’m not so sure why you would bring up the national observances of other countries.. but in any event I am not going to leave you in the kitchen with the greens. These three days are all observances, that is… sure some people observe them but some people do not…
Cesar Chavez Day
I am surprised by looking at the tone of your post, how you could even twist your mouth to gaslight Cesar Chavez. Chavez was one of the most anti-immigrant activist who ever lived. It was one of the reasons the UFW (United Farm Workers) membership declined to almost zero after only being on the scene for twenty years. His stand on immigration alienated a lot of those who supported him and often led to clashes on the US southern border. In 2014 President Obama proclaimed March 31st as a commemorative holiday to celebrate his contribution to labor.
Robert E. Lee Day
I’d rather cut it off with a dull rock and use it to light a fire under my gas soaked naked body hanging upside down from a cactus tree in front of the Waldorf Astoria in downtown Porch Monkey, Alabama, before I celebrate Robert E. Lee Day. Originally celebrated on January 19th by Tennessee, Texas, Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi and Georgia, it was later moved to the third Monday in January. Guess what other holiday falls on the third Monday of January? Martin Luther King’s birthday. The traitor’s birthday has been a point of contention in recent years. Arkansas combined the two holidays in 1985… at first giving people the option of celebrating one or the other or their own birthday as a day off. Really? Then in 2017 it removed Lee’s observance from the January date and moved it to the second Saturday in October. Meanwhile a little closer to home, Virginia celebrated the day as Lee-Jackson-King Day at first, then as Lee-Jackson Day on the Friday before the MLK federal holiday, before finally giving it up in 2020. Georgia just said $#@! it after initially celebrating Lee’s birthday on the Friday after Thanksgiving. That Friday after Thanksgiving is now just a nameless paid holiday… yeah right…
Yom Hashoah
If the name of the observance is unfamiliar to you, you are not alone, including yours truly. Americans know the observance as the Holocaust Remembrance Day. The first observance of Yom Hashoah was in December of 1948 in Israel. Later the Israeli government moved to officially recognize the observance on April 8, 1959. Called the Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day, it was established to pay homage to the acts of heroism and to remember the collaboration of those who aided in the disaster. The date is set in accordance with the Hebrew calendar, on 27 Nisan. Nisan has 30 days and falls between March and April on the Gregorian calendar. Although observed by Jews the world over, the official observance is in Israel.

Ma’uled Al-Nabi is an Islamic religious holiday. Also known as The Birth Of The Prophet, it is a time of great celebration. In some communities you might see public processions, decorations of homes and streets, reading of poetry in praise of Allah, and special times of fasting. The date of this holiday is based on the Islamic lunar calendar and falls on the 12th day of the third Islamic month of Rabi’ al-awwal. This year the holiday falls on the Gregorian calendar date of October 17th. Like Yom Hashoah, Ma’uled Al-Nabi is celebrated by Muslims the world over with official celebrations in Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, West Africa, South Africa, and Turkey.

Lol.. Well it wasn’t quite like that but yeah, Davis 1862 Proclamation was aimed squarely at the black Union soldier. Although he didn’t explicitly say to execute all black soldiers wearing a Union uniform… his decree left little room for anything else. Refusing to acknowledge black soldiers as legitimate combatants, his decree relegated them to being runaway slaves inciting insurrection against the sovereign government of the Confederacy. He left their fate in the hands of the state in which they were captured. Ever since the days of Nat Turner in 1831, when a group of seventy slaves broke free and killed over fifty whites plantation owners and their families, there was only one penalty for a black man killing a white man or trying to kill a white man… DEATH!! Davis had successfully washed his hands clean of the decision of what to do with the black freedom fighters. Why bother? The decision to summarily execute Union soldiers black or white by the confederate president could have brought similar sanctions against against confederate soldiers. Anywho.. Alabama, Mississippi, Texas Florida, Kentucky and Tennessee celebrate the fiends birthday on June 7th. In Alabama his birthday is a state holiday and some state offices are closed.

Four months later, on April 22, 1912, President Taft’s vision became a reality when a group of 700 delegates from various commercial and trade organizations came together to create a unified body of business interest that today is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce… in other news… the Atlanta Massacre of 1906, The Springfield Race Riot of 1908, The Johnson-Jeffries Riots of 1912, The Elaine Massacre, The Red Summer… 1925- 10,000 Klan March down Pennsylvania Ave in front of the White House, while President Woodrow Wilson is in the newly built white house theatre, watching ” Birth Of A Nation.” Does it sound like they were going invited any black folks to join the Chamber of Commerce? You still wondering why there is no “White History Month?”

That’s not true. I checked the requirements. There is absolutely no mention of the contestant having to be black in the Miss Black America pageant. However things could get awkward if the judges ask a white contestant, “As an African American,” what do you think is the most pressing issue facing us today” or if they say.. “Malcolm X once said, “If you stick a knife in my back nine inches and pull it out six inches, there’s no progress. If you pull it all the way out that’s not progress. Progress is healing the wound that the blow made. And they haven’t even pulled the knife out much less heal the wound. They won’t even admit the knife is there…” Karen who is they?…
So it’s not that white contestants aren’t allowed, they are not interested because they understand the nuances of an ethnic pageant. The Miss America pageant started in 1921 and the first contestant was a 16 year old named Margaret Gorman. She was from DC and was named the most beautiful bathing girl in America. The pageant was held on September 8, 1921 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, just a few months after the June Tulsa Race Massacre. The first African American contestant was named Cheryl Browne gaining a spot in 1970 after the 1930 rule number seven was abolished. The rule stated that each “contestants must be of good health and of the white race”. Yep.. they just came out wid it.. if you white you right.. if you black get back… So Browne being accepted was real big news back in the day, not only was she black, but she represented Iowa!! That’s I.O.W.A… In 1970 out of a population of almost three million, only 1 percent were black in Iowa. Half worked as janitors and the other half had to leave the state by midnight. Every black man got a box of Spic and Span and a picture of the sheriff loading a Colt 45 when they registered to vote… black women got an apron, a frying pan and a bus ticket… lol… Yep it was a lot of eyes on Cheryl.. Cheryl didn’t make it as a finalist, but did tour with the winners and runners up. Thirteen years later in 1983 the first African American Miss America would be crowned.. Vanessa Williams. She only held the title for a 10 months because of nude photos she took before her pageant days surfaced and because Penthouse, a men’s magazine, said they would publish the photos in their next issue. William went on to become a successful actor and singer. Since then, more than a dozen black women have been named either Miss America or Miss USA. Too Smart For Your Britches

Just because a fund is named after an ethnic group, it does not mean that other ethnic groups can’t apply or obtain those funds or grants. For instance the United Negro College Fund supports thousands of white students attending HBCU’s. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black colleges in the US… so what…. there are thousands of white students attending those colleges. “Yet if there were white colleges.. that would a racist college…” It took an act Congress and hundreds of National Guard troops to walk one black man through the front door of Ole Miss. (James Meredith in photo.) Meanwhile in Alabama… “In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.” -George Wallace 1963. This was proclaimed by Wallace during his inaugural address on the steps of the Alabama State Capitol in defiance of the attempts by the the federal government to enforce laws prohibiting racial segregation in Alabama’s public schools and other educational institutions. As a result of integration a large majority of southern white parents took their children out of public schools and enrolled them in private schools because they did not want their children attending schools with African Americans. The trend continues to this very day.
They Will Not Replace Us

On October 15, 1995, black participants from across the country gathered in Washington DC to attend the Million Man March. Estimates put the crowd size between 800,000 and 1.5 million. Throughout the day prominent African American leaders spoke to what black men could do to help our families and our communities. There were no arrest at the peaceful assembly and when it was over we cleaned up the area and left it as we found it…
If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists...
On August 11, 2017 you marched for your “race” and rights. People ended up dead. Five men were arrested and charged with federal crimes ranging from violating the federal riots statue up to first degree murder. Afterwards organizers of the pro-white rally were banned in other major cities from organizing any other pro-white rally due to the inherent violence committed by your supporters. On January 6, 2020 you again held a rally in Washington DC to support President Trump. It ended with the death of two Capitol police officers and one of your supporters, who was climbing through a window broken out by men using American flags. Hundreds are now under indictment for federal crimes after an unsuccessful attempt to overthrow the government. So yeah… it not a crime, but it sure is a shame.

I’ll tell you how many, next to none. There is a police station next to almost any black neighbor in the US. They were not put there to protect black people… They were put there to protect white people from black people. Historically they were put in poor white neighborhoods to protect the rich from the poor.. when the whites moved out, their objective became protecting whites from blacks… and thats how its been since desegregation. It’s one of the reasons why so many black men and women are killed by police. They literally camp out in and around our neighborhoods. Do you think it is a coincidence that most shooting targets are black? That we get the harshest sentences and that sixty percent of the people imprisoned are black but only make up thirty two percent of the population… add to that almost seventy percent of the US police force is white… If you don’t think there are racist in our judicial system.. well I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s okay to be proud. That’s not what makes you a racist. You are not stupid, you know what makes you a racist.
It’s a big world out here and whites are not the only ones on it. You may have a monopoly on many things, but racism is not one of them.

I’m surprised this email ever left your keyboard. This email has nothing to do with white pride. All you talk about are other ethnic groups and how well they are doing when compared to you. You created a stable government that has lasted for almost three hundred years.. wouldn’t know by this email…
