The President has often mused about having his likeness carved onto Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Well Mr President there is a group that want to carve your likeness onto a mountain.. sort of. A climate change group is raising half a million dollars with the goal of carving President Donald Trump’s face into an arctic iceberg to raise awareness on climate change. Yep, the Finnish group Melting Ice is spearheading the initiative with the intention of carving a 115-foot ice sculpture of Mr Trump’s face, and have dubbed the effort “Project Trumpmore”. They hope that they will be able to illustrate the dangers of climate change by watching to see how long the sculpture takes to melt and live stream it as it melts. Nicholas Prieto, who is the chairperson of the association said, “We created it to make this project a reality. I feel that we have a great idea and with help of others we can make it a reality.” Preito is now asking for the public’s support and gearing up to launch an online fundraiser to raise the cold cash needed to make the project a reality.” The estimated budget for this project is somewhere in the neighborhood of $480,000. According to a statement on the association’s website, “Global warming is one of the most important issues and topics of today, There are still people who ponder whether it’s a real issue.” While the location for the project is undecided, the group wants to find an arctic glacier that’s already melting. The finished product will be about 12 stories high and 65 feet long.
