Stephon Clark Hated Black Women

Stephon Clark and family.

Reports are coming out that Stephon Clark, the Black man who was shot six times in the back by Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies allegedly hated Black women. The revelation has cause a considerable discourse in the Black community on whether his views should impact our actions concerning the onslaught of Black men and women being killed in American cities all over the country and whether or not he deserves our support.  The inflammatory tweets in question..

As you can see the tweets go back two years. A lot of Black women are red hot and believe we should should abandon this fool and I agree with you to a point. There is an article in the “Huffington Post” by Kimberly Foster entitled, “Don’t Tell Black Women How To Feel About Stephon Clark’s Tweets.”  In the article there is a kind of epiphany that sums up what its all about.

“Stephon Clark was not a perfect victim. He didn’t need to be. The Black Lives Matter movement ushered in a sea change where respectability is no longer necessary for community support.”

Respectability is no longer necessary for community support. They are not killing us because we are respectable, nor are they killing us for our views. They are killing us because we are black. Still part of me wants to say he got what he deserves and our community is a better place without him. Buts that’s not true. He didn’t deserve to be killed like an animal because he hated black women. I don’t agree with his views, but just as I dont agree with his views, there are people who don’t agree with mine and there are people that don’t agree with your views. Does that mean we should let the police go on shooting everyone because we don’t agree with each other?  An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind and in our case, leaves everyone dead.

“Still part of me wants to say he got what he deserves and our community is a better place without him.”
