Pet Peeve – noun Something that a particular person finds especially annoying.
Everyone has a pet peeve. Some people have multiple pet peeves. One to four pet peeves is about normal. Five to ten pet peeves is eyebrow raising. Eleven to fifteen pet peeves is throat clearing. Anything above fifteen pet peeves might require professional medical attention.
One of my “three” pet peeve’s is when I rush to the phone, pick it up and someone says, “Are you age 99 or over.. You need “R&C”… colon and rectum cleaner.. This is Ruddy Rectum… For a limited time you can get your colon and rectum cleaner for the low price of $19.99.. but wait.. act now and we will throw in an additional colon and rectum cleaner… thats right!! Two colon and rectum cleaners!! Just pay shipping and handling.. These handmade brushes…”
Telemarketer are my number two pet peeve. Right in the middle of cutting me off on the highway, then driving like Mrs Daisy and finding glasses full of liquor after the party is over. Man… anywho. There is a way to fight those telemarketers, scam artist and phone fiends. It was with us all the time. Its called “Do Not Disturb.” Yes, I know many of you are familiar with this setting. I occasionally set it myself for personal reasons. But I never knew there were different flavors. Yes!! You can set “Do Not Disturb” except for contacts!!. You can further narrow it down to a favorite list.
Setting your “Do Not Disturb” to these setting also gets rid of Haters and Unknown calls too. Those sneaky ##!!@. However there are some minor adjustments to making these setting. You will not be alerted to text messages. They will still come in, you just will not be alerted. On the upside, The Telemarketers, Scam Artist, Haters and Unknowns will not be able to text you. If you have any other app which you rely on to alert you, they will not. You will be notified they came in, but you will not receive any bells, whistles, vibrations, back rubs, cat calls or evil eye’s. For those that don’t know how to set up “Do Not Disturb, “ I have included some instructions. Well that’s all for now, so happy blocking those !@##.
