Today is the first day of Black History Month. As I think about what this time represents to million of blacks in this country, I know the fight is no where near over. There are people who want to destroy us. There are people who want to destroy our unity and there are people who want to destroy our message. The full title of this story is “Black History Cat Running Thru The 28.” It’s a pretty strange title isn’t it? Not if you know what I am talking about. If you look closely at the featured image, just under Black History Month, you will see it highlighted lighted in blue. I did not put it there.
Like a thief in the dark, some poor soul who lacks a sense of their own self worth and dignity, decided they would climb on the back of another black man to feel good about themselves. He or she has done it before. I know the type. Every single day they have to prove to themselves they are worthy. If you not better than a nig@r, than who are you better than. I would get mad and rail against this violation but I’m not. I’m going to continue writing about racism and inequity. I am humbled that you have been affected by my message, right down to your “mother future” soul. I’m going to keep it there as a reminder to myself and others. So if you are reading this, god bless you. One more thing… I am humbled, but not stupid. I have changed both the username and password for my site to a random 35 character format.
