Do You See It?

We have all gotten those Facebook post where the person asks if you see it don’t tell, just say yes in the comments. Well I think I see it. Its probably been there since the Lorraine Motel was made a National Historic site. So I am going there. The Lorraine Motel is the site of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.assassination in Memphis Tennessee. What I want to know is that a Rebel flag flying in front of the Lorraine Motel?

Okay, looks can be deceiving, but at first glance that’s what it looked like to me. After some research it turns out it’s the state flag of Tennessee… cough..cough.. Personally, I wish they take it down. It just doesn’t seem right. Tennessee fought on the side of the Confederacy. To the left is a picture the Confederate States Of America flag.

This is a picture of the Tennessee State flag. The three stars represent the three “Grand Dragon’s”… excuse me… “Grand Divisions” of the state, East Tennessee, Middle Tennessee, and West Tennessee. The blue circle around the stars represents the unity of the “Grand Dragon’s”… excuse me… I don’t know why that keeps coming to mind… I mean the unity of of the “Grand Divisions” of the state. The blue bar at the edge of the flag was just a design consideration.

Tennessee ranks 34th in size among the 50 states. Why do they need a flag that represents East, Middle and West Tennessee? Alaska has the largest land area in the United States followed by Texas and California. They don’t have any flag representing East, Middle and West. Why am I going there?

Feel me? Three is a very popular number with some folks. Well I just thought I would throw it out there. Not much can be done about it. But if somebody asks you if you see it? Don’t tell, just say yes in the comments.
