This topic about women’s rights can get real tricky…. But for the record, I stand with the women. Passing laws to regulate a natural biological function is obscene. Like a lot of people, I am pro-life, but that does not mean I am anti – abortion. “Shat” happens. They did the same thing to us. Because we are biologically a different skin color, they passed laws and kept us as slave for hundreds of years. So yeah, I’m with ya sistah’s.

With that being said.. crisscross, crisscross… I understand the other side too. Black women are more likely to have an abortion than women of other races. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. I get it. Women of color face different social, health and economic challenges than white women. Its just that Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood was a follower of Eugenics. So was Adolph Hitler. Eugenics is the science of improving the human population by breeding. Are you starting to feel me? Do you wonder why most of abortion clinics are in neighborhoods of people of color? Slide to left… In 1939 Sanger wrote, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members”  Slide to the right… Sanger spoke to the Klu Klux Klan about Eugenics. “Sanger was highly motivated to stop the procreation by those she deemed “unfit.” In a personal letter to Katharine Dexter McCormick in 1950, Sanger called for “a simple, cheap, safe contraceptive to be used in poverty stricken slums, jungles, and among the most ignorant people.”

Right foot two stomps… Exodus 20:13 “Thou shalt not kill.” It’s in the Bible. Left foot two stomps…. “Recognizing the different views on abortion among its members, the American Baptist Churches’ General Board encourages women and couples considering the procedure “to seek spiritual counsel as they prayerfully and conscientiously consider their decision.” Though the board opposes abortion “as a primary means of birth control,” it does not condemn abortion outright.” – Pew Research Center

One hop this time… Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama, last week approved the most stringent abortion law in the nation, making performing an abortion a felony in nearly all cases unless necessary for the mother’s health. The law provides no exception for rape and incest. So in Alabama it is possible to be raped and get more time in prison than the rapist. One hop this time… More states are passing “biology restriction laws.” The bills passed this year in Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi and Ohio ban abortion six weeks into a woman’s pregnancy — the time at which a fetal heartbeat can usually be detected, and a time at which the majority of women do not know they are pregnant. Missouri’s bill, which now awaits the governor’s signature, would ban abortions after eight weeks.

Reverse, reverse… Since 1973 abortions have reduced the African American population by 25%. African-American women are raped at a higher rate than White women, and are less likely to report it. Though incest in the black community is not as high as in other communities in the United States, rather lets say reported incest is not as high, it does occur with some frequency. 80% of abortion facilities are located in minority communities. Black women only account for 40% of “all” abortions, while white women account for 49%. Alabama had the highest rates of abortion out of all the states.

Cha cha real smooth… So as we see, there are many views on this subject. As for me, I cannot condone biology restriction laws, its not the right thing to do. 1 Kings 8:39 “Then hear in heaven, your dwelling place, and forgive and act and render to each according to all his ways, whose heart you know, for you alone know the hearts of all the sons of men.”
