Like You Stole From My Mamma

Rod Salka got into the wrong boxing ring with “Not Today Franciso Varga.” Salka not only lost the fight, but also his dignity. On Thursday night, Pennsylvania-born boxer Rod Salka showed up to his bout against Mexican super featherweight champ Francisco Vargas wearing red, white, and blue border wall-themed shorts. Yep, he wore boxing trunks with a border wall on them and a waist band that said “America 1st” to fight a world champion boxer from Mexico. Like I said, Varga beat him like he stole something from his mamma.

Dominating the fight thru the early rounds, in the fifth round Varga “locked him up.” Midway thru the fifth, Varga sent Salka to his knees with an uppercut. A dazed Salka slump in his corner, while his managers assured him, “you will be great again.” In the 6th round Varga opened a cut around around Salka’s left eye after a series of punishing blow. Salka never made it out of his corner for the seventh round. His trainers decided he did not have enough funding and stopped the fight. According to Esquire, this is not the first time Salka’s papers had been revoked by a Hispanic opponent. In 2014, Danny Garcia flipped his taco at the Barclays Center in New York.
