WHAT DEY DO..

Donald Trump – They smile in your face, the backstabber’s… backstabber’s… That’s right, it was one of the most stunning betrayal’s in military history and you thought it was just an American betrayal. Well the script is gone international now and and to paraphrase the Ojay’s,” Somebody’s in and they sho nuff crazy, Believe me brother, you gonna see something shady, Blades are long, clenched tight in their fist, you can forget what was said, because he just said what they can kiss, what dey do…” Well evidently when you asked them to help you fight off a terrorist group that has vowed to make “America Faint Again,” you abandon them to their enemies. I would tell that story but I know most of you are down wit it and anyway I need time to plan my impeachment party. But before we go on, there are reports that the President is abandoning a key constituency with the Kurds. Now we all know that Pat Robertson, the head of the Christian Broadcasting Network, and who a lot of us think that the well went dry and was covered up years ago, had this to say about the abandoning the Kurds, “Trump was in danger of losing the mandate of heaven.” God bless him… Anywho, I thought I would take this time to review some of the other great betrayals of history. So without further ado, let all stand up and give a middle finger for the “Backstabbers!!”

Judas Iscariot – For 30 pieces of silver, an amount equal to about $216 in today’s currency, Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles, betrayed Christ by kissing him on the cheek to let the authorities know of his identity. His act led to Jesus’s death by crucifixion which made him the most notorious traitor in human history.

Andrey Vlasov – Vlasov’s entire career in the Red Army was made by turning terrible units and armies into formidable fighting forces. He cut his military teeth in the Bolshevik Revolution and by the time WWII came around, he was the epitome of a combat-hardened veteran. So, when the Nazis invaded the USSR, Vlasov’s troops were the only ones seeing success. It was arguably Vlasov’s direction that saved Moscow. But during his defense of Leningrad, Vlasov was captured by the Germans. It was while evading the Nazis that he realized that Bolshevism was the enemy of the Russian people. Now, here is a little background. After the House of Romanov fell in 1917, it was the Bolshevik’s that that started the Russian Revolution. The revolution abolished the monarchy and set up a new government which eventually became the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic and later the Soviet Union. Anyway, the Germans caught Vlasov, and he folded like the chairs after a chicken dinner in a church basement. He detailed to the Germans how the Russians could be defeated. The Germans he ratted to were the only Eastern Front divisions with major successes against the Red Army. Vlasov was eventually captured by the U.S. and handed over to the Russians. Historians have recently discovered a blood splattered confession from Vlasov, ten fingernails and what they think is part of his scrotum. The Russians have not commented.

Mir Jafar – Britain ruled India for almost 200 years. How is it possible for such a small, far-away country to invade and conquer one of the richest, most populous places in the world? The answer is Mir Jafar. At the Battle of Plassey, Robert Clive of the British East India Company bribed Mir Jafar to betray the Indians in Bengal in 1757. His mid-combat betrayal allowed 3000 British troops to best the Nawab of Bengal’s army of 50,000. The British captured Calcutta, then moved on to the rest of India. Jafar was made the new Nawab. Today, Jafar’s name is equivalent to the American “Benedict Arnold.” The word mir jafar in Bengali and the phrase “meer jafar in Urdu, are used as much as quisling is used in English for traitor. Puzzled about the word quisling?

Vidkun Quisling – (Quisling center of photo.) The Nazi’s made more traitors out of people than Oscar Mayer made hot dogs out of whatever. ( For the record I love hot dogs.) According to history Vidkun Quisling was one of the greatest. Quisling was the President of Norway from 1942 until the end of WWII. While most presidents in Europe end their tenure with a wave and a smile, Quisling’s ended with a trial and execution for carrying out the “Final Solution” in Norway. The Final Solution referred to the mass murder of Europe’s Jews. A former Norwegian Army officer, Quisling declared a coup during the Nazi invasion of Norway in 1940. Having already met with Hitler, he was reasonably sure this coup would put him in control. Of course for his trouble they gave him the title of Azzkissung General and second in command after Sgt. Heidelbug Swchartz. Quisling was executed by firing squad at Akershus Fortress at 02:40 on 24 October 1945. The word quisling  itself became synonymous with traitor. The term was coined by the British newspaper The Times in its lead of 15 April 1940, titled “Quislings everywhere.”

Benedict Arnold – Arnold was an American general during the American Revolutionary War that immensely contributed to the success of the Americans during numerous battles. However, other officers claimed all his accomplishments, prompting him to sell West Point to the British. After the plan was exposed in 1780, Arnold fled and became a brigadier general of the British Army. In December 1780, he led a force of 1,600 troops into Virginia under orders from Clinton, where he captured Richmond by surprise and then went on a rampage through Virginia, destroying supply houses, foundries, and mills. This activity brought out Virginia’s militia led by Colonel Sampson Mathews, and Arnold eventually retreated to Portsmouth Va. to evacuate. The pursuing American army included the Marquis de Lafayette, who was under orders from Washington to hang Arnold summarily if he was captured. Well Cornwallis came and saved his bacon and he continued to command the British army. After Cornwallis defeat at Yorktown, Arnold went to England. Now although Arnold changed sides and fought with the British, he wasn’t well liked or respected by the Englished. One critic said that he was a “mean mercenary, who, having adopted a cause for the sake of plunder, quits it when convicted of that charge.” In other words we don’t trust you. In January 1801, Benedict Arnold’s health began to decline. He had suffered from gout since 1775, and the condition attacked his unwounded leg to the point where he was unable to go to sea. The other leg ached constantly, and he walked only with a cane. His physicians diagnosed him as having dropsy, and a visit to the countryside only temporarily improved his condition. He died after four days of delirium on June 14, 1801, at the age of 60.  Legend has it that, when he was on his deathbed, he said, “Let me die in this old uniform in which I fought my battles. May God forgive me for ever having put on another.” Arnold was buried at St. Mary’s Church, Battersea in London, England, but as a result of a clerical error in the parish records, his remains were removed to an unmarked mass grave during a church renovation. The whereabouts of his remains are unknown.

Ephialtes of Trachis – This is the guy who the historian Herodotus says betrayed the Greeks at Thermopylae in 480 BC. It was there the outnumbered Greeks formed a bottleneck in the pass between the Malian Gulf and the “impassable and precipitous” mountain to the west. Remember the movie called, “The 300.” Well Ephialtes is the little #@@!$ who because they would not let him be a Spartan warrior, betrayed them by showing the Persian’s a route behind their defenses. Of course the 300 defending the pass were slaughtered when the Persians came up behind them. However unlike in the movies, Xerxes, the Persian king did not reward Ephialtes. After the battle at Thermopylae, a bounty was placed on his head and when the Spartans finally caught up with him, well lets just say they don’t want to talk about it, except to say that after they dealt with Ephialtes, there hasn’t been another Greek traitor in almost 2500 years. The picture above is not a true representation of Ephialtes. Like I said earlier, the Greeks don’t want to talk about it, but most historians agree, when they finally did catch him, they wasn’t trying to draw no picture of him.

Well, thats a sampling of some of the greatest traitors in human history. For more, check out the links below in our reference section.
