Joe Biden Ain’t My Friend

That’s right. Joe Biden is not a friend of any person of color in these United States. We think that just because he was the Vice President under the first black President, that its okay for him to come to the barbecue. Well my baby made the macaroni and cheese and he ain’t getting none. Besides chairing the House Judicial Committee in 1991 that put that “cotton pickin” Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court, he is the author of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994.

The bill was and is responsible for the mass incarceration of tens of thousands of people of color. It is the largest crime bill in the history of the United States. It put 100,000 new police officers in the inner cities, because where else would he put 100,000 police officers. It provided $9.7 billion in funding for prisons, because he was expecting a lot of arrest and $6.1 billion in funding for prevention programs, which were designed with significant input from experienced police officer. Now some of you might look at that last part and think it wasn’t all bad, I mean there was money put aside for prevention programs. But I want you to know thats just a bunch of Biden. In this case prevention programs are those high intensity yellow crime lights, surveillance camera’s and sub police stations in black and brown neighborhoods with jails in them.. okay.

Back in 2012 when Obama and Biden were elected to office many people think it was a match made in heaven, including moi. ( Moi is French for me.) But if we look at it more closely we find that Obama and Biden were probably not friends when they were in the Senate. Obama was a freshman senator and Biden was the 4th highest ranking member at the time. They didn’t run in the same circles. Obama didn’t choose Biden to be his running mate. The Democratic leadership did. Obama was a young urban new generational progressive. Why would he pick some crusty old white man to be his running mate? He didn’t. Biden was chosen by others to keep an eye on Obama.

Look, I need a couple of minutes.. I got to take care of something. ” I see you!! Put that #@@!# plate down Biden!!” Okay now where was I.. oh yes. Now think about it, you and your supposed boy spent the last eight years together fighting one of the most racist and contemptuous congresses in modern American history and you don’t back him for his Presidential bid? Well you don’t back him, because he is not your choice. He wasn’t then and he isn’t now. All those pictures of Obama and Biden engaging in that kumbaya #@@!! was a manufactured lie. Hold on.. “Biden I’m warning you.. put that mac down!!”

Because of the mass incarceration bill that Biden authored, the increase in incarceration led to prison overcrowding. The legal system relied on plea bargains to minimize the increased case load. Jerry Brown and Bill Clinton later expressed regret over the portions of the measure that led to increased prison population like the three strikes provision. There are men and women who are now spending the rest of their lives in prison over a nickel bag of weed!! As a result of the increase in incarceration, a disproportionate amount of minorities ended up within the American prison system. Biden might be a creepy old man getting his kicks off touching young chickens inappropriately, but he ain’t a stupid creepy old man. You put an additional 100,000 police officers in the inner cities, then you going to get an additional 100,000 police officers arresting additional people that live in the inner cities. That’s why he put money for “preventive programs” and prisons in the bill. Now Biden may tell you his bill didn’t instigate mass incarceration. He will say only two out of ten people arrested were federal violators of the law. They are on the talk shows and news networks pulling out charts and records and getting testimonies and !@@!$. But they didn’t put 100,000 additional police officers on the federal payroll. The federal government paid the salaries of those additional cops through money given to the states. These cops were not Feds. They were state and local police. The mass incarcerations were in state prisons. So don’t fall for it.

This is going to be a crucial year in Presidential politics. The man or woman that deserves our vote must “deserve” our vote. I will not base my vote on associations any longer. It’s never gotten us anywhere. OMG!! Look… its Daye Lyon of “Face The Negro.!!” Well I got to go, but before I leave, here are some pictures of the dynamic duo.
