Thomas Sowell

Thomas Sowell is an African American economist and social theorist who is currently a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.  He received a bachelor’s degree, graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1958 and a master’s degree from Columbia University in 1959. In 1968, he earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago. But I need to tell you the same thing the “Last Poets,” told me. (This song has strong adult language.) I love that Sowell got degree’s, love that he made magna cum laude, love that he got his masters and doctorate in economics and love that he is an African American and social theorist… but there is one thing about Thomas Sowell I do not love… Thomas Sowell hates African Americans.

I have some conservative friends who always trot out Sowell to make a point about race relations, as if this one man’s opinion is the only opinion that make any sense to them. As if a black man with a degree who shares their views is a leader of men…eh.. of black men, because I don’t care how many degree’s a black has, you might be invited to the dinner, but you will be serving or you are being served. Today they showed me this gem by Sowell. “Have we reached the ultimate stage of absurdity where some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, while other people are not held responsible for what they themselves are doing today?” I am like… nine out ten people can explain this to him and the other one is in the bathroom. These people are living off the system their ancestors set up that denies basic human rights based on the color of your skin and they ain’t trying to change that. They getting fat while the rest of us are starving. I wanted to go class war on them and tell them its really about poor against rich, but I would just be wasting my time…anyway..

We need to know about people like Sowell. They end of being the Clarence Thomas’s and Ben Carson’s of the world. I don’t know how they come away from these prestigious and liberal universities with the attitude they are immune from racism, or feeling that somehow it did not affect them, or affects them now. These are the guns the far right brings out to bolster their base and these are the guns that shoot us in the back. Here are some other insights from Tom.. I mean Thomas..

The word ‘racism’ is like ketchup. It can be put on practically anything – and demanding evidence makes you a ‘racist.’

Liberals seem to assume that, if you don’t believe in their particular political solutions, then you don’t really care about the people that they claim to want to help.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology accepts blacks in the top ten percent of students, but at MIT this puts them in the bottom ten percent of the class.

If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules and be judged by the same standards, that would have gotten you labeled a radical 50 years ago, a liberal 25 years ago and a racist today.

I guess a lot has changed since this. One year before you graduated college..

Thomas has been doing this for a while. This is him in 1981 lying. He actually said college educated blacks were making more money than college educated whites in 1981. All I can say is god bless him….
